Plain Yogurt1 cup

Ginger Garlic Paste1 teaspoon

Red Pepper Chili Flakes2 teaspoons

Ground Cumin½ teaspoon

Ground Clove½ teaspoon

Ground Turmeric¼ teaspoon

Sea Salt2 teaspoons

Vegetable Oil¾ cup

Medium Yellow Onion, thinly sliced1 onion

Lemon Juice, freshly squeezed1 ½ tablespoons

Fresh Cilantro1 bunch

Fresh Green Chilies4 chilies

Cooking directions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the yogurt, ginger garlic paste, pepper flakes, cumin, cloves, turmeric and sea salt.

  2. Add the beef to the yogurt mixture and coat the beef with the mixture. Set aside for 15 minutes.

  3. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the onions and fry until golden brown.

  4. Remove 1 tablespoon of the fried onions and set aside for the garnish.

  5. Reduce the heat and place the meat into the skillet. Cover and cook until tender, about 15 minutes.

  6. Pour in the lemon juice and let simmer for 10 minutes.

  7. Garnish with cilantro, green chilis and the reserved fried onions.
