Olive Oil1 tablespoon

Canned Garbanzo Beans, drained12 oz.

Canned Kidney Beans, drained12 oz.

Medium Onion, chopped1 onion

Green Bell Pepper, diced1 pepper

Fresh Garlic, minced4 tablespoons

Jalapeno, thinly sliced1 jalapeno

Tomato, chopped1 tomato

Beef Broth2 cups

Tomato Puree1 1

/3 cup

Coarse Sea Salt1 tablespoon

Chili Powder3 teaspoons

Ground Cumin1 teaspoon

Sea Saltas needed

Black Pepper, freshly groundas needed





Cooking directions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and green pepper and cook, stirring constantly for a few minutes. Add beef and continue to cook, breaking up beef while cooking. Cook for 10-15 minutes or until browned. Drain any excess fat.

  2. Add garbanzo and kidney beans, garlic, jalapenos, tomato, beef broth, tomato puree, salt, chili powder, salt and pepper. Cover, lower the heat and continue to cook slowly for 1 hour.
