Pakistani Pot Roast Beef Filets

INGREDIENTS
Plain Yogurt 1 cup
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 teaspoon
Red Pepper Chili Flakes 2 teaspoons
Ground Cumin ½ teaspoon
Ground Clove ½ teaspoon
Ground Turmeric ¼ teaspoon
Sea Salt 2 teaspoons
Vegetable Oil ¾ cup
Medium Yellow Onion, thinly sliced 1 onion
Lemon Juice, freshly squeezed 1 ½ tablespoons
Fresh Cilantro 1 bunch
Fresh Green Chilies 4 chilies
LET'S GET COOKING!
In a medium bowl, combine the yogurt, ginger garlic paste, pepper flakes, cumin, cloves, turmeric and sea salt.
Add the beef to the yogurt mixture and coat the beef with the mixture. Set aside for 15 minutes.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the onions and fry until golden brown.
Remove 1 tablespoon of the fried onions and set aside for the garnish.
Reduce the heat and place the meat into the skillet. Cover and cook until tender, about 15 minutes.
Pour in the lemon juice and let simmer for 10 minutes.
Garnish with cilantro, green chilis and the reserved fried onions.
