New York Strip Steak with Apple, Spinach & Walnut Salad

INGREDIENTS
Salad
Baby spinach 3 cups
Walnuts, roughly chopped ½ cup
Sultana Raisins ½ cup
Apple, cored and cut into thin slices 1 apple
Sunflower seeds 2 tablespoons
Honey-Lemon Dressing
Olive oil 4 tablespoons
Lemon juice 1 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Black pepper, freshly ground ¼ teaspoon
Dijon Mustard 1 tablespoon
Honey 2 tablespoons
LET'S GET COOKING!
Preheat a grill or cast-iron skillet to medium high heat.
While the grill or cast-iron skillet are heating, season the steak with salt and pepper.
Place the steak on preferred surface and cook until desired degree of doneness has been achieved.
Remove the steak from the grill or skillet and place on a cutting board allowing it to rest for 5 – 10 minutes.
Slice the steak and serve along side the salad.
Make the Spinach, Apple and Walnut Salad recipe, we will firstly make the Honey Mustard dressing.
In a mason jar or any bottle with a tight-fitting lid, add all the ingredients of the dressing. Close the lid tightly and shake the bottle to blend the dressing well.
The next step is to make a salad. In a large salad bowl, toss together spinach, walnuts, raisins, and apples slices. Drizzle with the honey-mustard dressing, toss to coat evenly and serve immediately.
