Turkey Lettuce Wraps

INGREDIENTS
Vegetable oil 1 tablespoon
Garlic cloves, minced 3 cloves
Onion, minced 1 small onion
Hoisin sauce ¼ cup
Tamari 2 tablespoons
Rice wine vinegar 1 tablespoon
Toasted sesame oil 1 teaspoon
Ginger paste 1 tablespoon
Sriracha sauce 2 teaspoons
Water chestnuts, drained and chopped 1 x 8 oz. can
Green onions, thinly sliced 4 onions
Kosher salt as needed
Black pepper, freshly ground as needed
Butter lettuce 1 head
LET'S GET COOKING!
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes, making sure to break it up into small bits as it cooks.
Push the meat to the edge of the pan and stir in the garlic and onion and cook until the onions have become translucent - about 3 to 5 minutes.
Add the hoisin sauce, Tamari, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, ginger, and Sriracha Stir in to combine well.
Add the water chestnuts and green onions and cook until tender, about 1-2 minutes; season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Serve with your favourite dipping sauce.
