Green Tea and Garlic Brined Chicken Wings

INGREDIENTS
Olive Oil, for roasting wings as needed
Large Green Tea Bags 3 bags
Brown Sugar 1/3 cup
Coarse Sea Salt 1 tablespoon
Garlic Cloves, chopped 7 cloves
Limes, one sliced and one for garnish 2 limes
Garlic Cloves, minced 2 cloves
Fresh Thyme Sprigs 8 sprigs
Freshly Ground Black Pepper 1 teaspoon
Ice 2 cups
LET'S GET COOKING!
Bring 3 cups of water to a boil, add tea bags, remove from heat and steep the bags for 15 minutes.
Add the rest of the ingredients to warm tea and 2 cups of ice. Add chicken wings. Place in a glass container and marinate overnight in the refrigerator.
Preheat oven to 375°F. Remove the wings from the marinade and place them on a roasting pan. Drizzle some olive oil on top of the wings. Cook for 20 minutes and turn the wings on the other side. Continue to cook for 20-30 minutes or until the thermometer reads 165°F internal temperature. Skin should be crispy and golden brown.
Transfer to a platter and serve with additional lime slices.
